Important Update: FASTRAK Midwest Touring Series Tire Rule 2008

Goodyear G45 and Goodyear G50 - no cutting or siping allowed.

Originally, Fastrak Midwest Touring Series was going to allow the Hoosier WRS2. After talking to Fastrak drivers at the St. Louis meeting at Lou Fuze Pontiac and Springfield Raceway, all drivers voted on allowing Goodyear only. The drivers liked the idea of a cheaper tire that lasted longer. Goodyear is the only tire company that sponsors Fastrak so the drivers thought it was only fair to support Goodyear.

This rule was not decided by the Series, it was decided by the drivers.

You can purchase the Goodyear tires from Tracy Cottrell. They are $128.00 per tire. Tires should be here the first week in March. Again, this is for the touring races only. Weekly sanctioned FASTRAK tracks are still hammering out the details on individual track rules relating to tires. This information will be available soon.
